Inter-District	​Individual - selected from Districts	​HSSA	​Held in Apr/May each year. For Year 5 & 6 students. 6 Districts with each district comprising a team of 32, 8 each year 5 & 6 , Boys and Girls. 2 swimmers in each event which includes 50m in each stroke, 4x25m Free relay, Medley relay and 8x25m Squadron.	​​Held in Feb/Mar each year. 3 age categories: Junior (yrs 7,8), Inter (yrs 9,10), Senior (yrs 11-13). 6 Districts with each district comprising a team of around 32, 6 each Junior/Inter, 4-6 Senior, Boys and Girls. 1 swimmers in each event which includes 50m in each stroke, 100m IM, 4x50m Free relay, Medley relay.
Teams/Relays	​Schools	​HSSA for East Region & ESSA	​Held in March each year. ​For Year 5 & 6 students combined. School categories Small Schools Mixed, Medium Schools Mixed, Open (large) Schools Girls and Boys. 4x25m Free and Medley relays. Heats and Finals. Times to qualify for ESSA Team champs in June.	​Held in September/October each year. Note Boys and Girls are on separate nights. 3 age categories: Junior (yrs 7,8), Inter (yrs 9,10), Senior (yrs 11-13). Events include 4x50m Free relay and Medley relays. Timed finals only. Specific trophies for HSSA winners.
​Individual championships	Individual by sumbission to HSSA	HSSA for East & South East Regions	Held in November each year. For Year 5 & 6 students. Boys & Girls. Events include 50m each stroke + 100m IM.	None
Inter-Divisional ​	Individual by submission to HSSA	ESSA	None	Held in February/March each year. East Region team. 3 age categories: Junior (yrs 7,8), Inter (yrs 9,10), Senior (yrs 11-13). Boys and Girls. Events include 50m, 100m, 200m all strokes, 200m & 400m IM, and 400m Free. 4 x 100m Medley and Free relays. 50m events are "Open" events ie. no age group. ​
Herts League	School	HSSA	None	Schools Herts League selected schools with Herts. ​Once per week.
District Trials	Individual	Districts	Held in Mar/Apr/May used as a basis for selecting district team for the Inter-District gala. Boys and Girls. Events include 50m for each stroke. Note that not all district run trials (those that don't use submitted times).	Held in Jan used as a basis for selecting district team for the Inter-District gala. Boys and Girls. Events include 50m for each stroke + 100m IM. Note that not all district run trials (those that don't use submitted times).
