15th May 2012 - HSSA Primary Schools Inter-District Championships
- The results of this gala have now been posted on the website and can be found in Events-Primary
- The winner of the 2012 gala was St Albans District with East Herts second and Watford third
- The were 8 records broken, 6 invidual events and 2 relays. For a summary of the current records see Records-Primary
- For a summary of winners - overall and by year group see Events-Primary-Primary Winners
- All those swimmers placed first or second in the individual events will have received an invitation to represent Hertfordshire in the Inter-County gala on 22nd June.
19th March 2012 - ESSA Inter-Divisional Championships
- The 2012 ESSA Inter-Divisional Championships will be held on 30th June & 1st July 2012 at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre
- Team selected to represent East Division by submission of times
- Hertfordshire is part of the East Division
- Open to any swimmer attending school within Hertfordshire (school must be affiliated to ESSA)
- Individual events each stroke 100m, 200m, Free 200m, IM 200m and 400m and Free 800m (Female)
and 1500m (Male), 4x100m Free and Medley relays.
Note: No heats, as there is 8 divisions. All events are finals.

25th Nov 2011 - 2012 ESSA HSSA/BSSA Primary Schools Teams Relays (qualifying round) to be held on Fri 24th Feb 2012 Watford
- The 2012 ESSA HSSA/BSSA Primary Schools Teams Relays is to be held on Friday 24th Feb 2012 at Watford Woodside wu 6.30pm start 7pm
- This event will be a qualifier for East Division and will incorporate the HSSA Junior Schools Team Championships (which
was previously held separately in November each year).
- Any school located within Hertfordshire can enter. Relay teams comprise combined year 5 & 6, Boys and Girls.
- This gala is a combined HSSA/BSSA however as Herts and Bucks are in different ESSA divisions the results for each
will be used for different divisional qualification (HSSA is in East Division and BSSA is in South East Division).
- Currently no decision has been made by ESSA about how many schools will qualify from county rounds to participate
in the divisional rounds, but 3 schools from each of the 8 divisions will qualify for the National Finals in Sheffield on
June 16th.
- The winners of the combined HSSA/BSSA gala will be presented with the old Division 10 trophies.
- Please note that schools must be affiliated with ESSA through their District to be able to enter the gala.

Note that as Herts is now part of East Region of ESSA the dates of some galas has changed as compared to the previous year.

21st July 2011 - AGM
- The 2011 AGM will be held in September 2011. If you have any issues you would like to raise then please contact your district representatives.
16th June 2011 - Cancellation of the Inter-counties scheduled Fri 24th June
- It is with regret that we had to announce that the Inter-counties gala scheduled for the 24th June (years 5 to 8) had to be cancelled. This was due to the other 2 counties Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire being unable to finalise their teams in time.
- Gill Mackenzie, President of the Hert SSA, commented that it was the "upmost reget that it had to be cancelled", and she added that "it was a situation outside of the control of Hertfordshire". She also thanked everyone (parents and swimmers) for the "ongoing support for Hertforshire schools swimming".

- Please note that any swimmer coming 1st or 2nd in an individual event in these championships has been invited to represent Hertfordshire at the Div 10 Inter-county championships on Friday 24th June at Maltman's Green School. 3rd place getters will also have been asked to act as a reserve.
