HSSA Secondary Inter-District Schools gala - Rules @ 19th Jan 2023
The current rules for this gala are below:
A swimmer may NOT compete out of his/her age group.
The competition is in four age groups. Yr 7 & Yr 8 teams’ scores will be combined for the Junior Trophy.
Junior:
12 - 13 years: born between 1/9/10 and 31/8/11 (year 7)
13 – 14 years: born between 1/9/09 and 31/8/10 (year 8)
Intermediate:
14 - 16 years: born between 1/9/07 and 31/8/09 (years 9 & 10)
Senior:
16 - 19 years: born between 1/9/04 and 31/8/07 (years 11, 12 & 13)
Juniors & Intermediate swimmers may take part in one individual and one team event OR two team events.
1 swimmer in each team may swim 1 individual and 2 team events.
Seniors may take part in 1 individual & 2 team events. IM is not included in the individual events for Seniors
All individual events are 50m except I.M. (100m)
